We were delighted to welcome members to the IAgrE Presentation Day this year held at AGCO in Stoneleigh on 30 April. We had a wonderful day with great hospitailty and it was the perfect opportunity to celebrate success in the land-based industries.
At this event each year we come together as a community to honour those who have made their mark in Agricultural Engineering. IAgrE likes to recognise excellence and this is our chance to celebrate with our Awardees and thank them for their contribution to our industry.
After the presentations our President, Dr Mark Moore, delivered an excellent talk entitled “Challenges equal opportunities for Agricultural Engineers” in which he outlined the food supply problems and how engineers can be a major part of the solution. See his talk slides here.
Everyone enjoyed lots of great networking opportunities over lunch and then Richard Charles, Senior Manager in charge of Global Training explained the process that AGCO use to ensure that their technicians around the world have the skills they need to deliver first rate customer service. The talk was followed by a fascinating tour of the state of the art training facilities.
