The Institution of Agricultural Engineers (IAgrE) is governed by an Executive Committee, whose members serve as the Trustees of the organisation. 

IAgrE is a charitable company, registered under:

  • Company Number: 00648041 (Limited by Guarantee) 

Our governance is defined by our Memorandum and Articles of Association, and all members are expected to follow our Code of Conduct, outlined in our Regulations (Regulations Appendix A & Appendix B)

As both a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee, IAgrE is regulated by: 

  • The Charity Commission 
  • UK Company Law

The organisation is led by a Chief Executive, supported by the Executive Committee, which is appointed annually.

We are also fortunate to be advised by our Council, drawn from across the membership, who guide and support the Executive Committee.

  • Membership Committee – Help grow and support our community 
  • Professional Development Committee – Assist with CPD and learning initiatives 
  • Advisory Council – Elected annually; express interest to be considered 
  • Executive Committee – Selected from Council members 
  • Awards Panel – Help recognise excellence in our field 

Branches 

IAgrE has active branches across the UK, offering networking and professional development opportunities. New UK-based members are automatically assigned to a branch based on their mailing address, but you may request to join a different one.

Branch involvement is flexible—attend events, give talks, or join committees as your schedule allows.

Support others on their professional journey. Online training is available for those interested in mentoring for registration or career guidance.
