- "Agricultural Engineering” - The Wrest Park Story 1924-2006
This book details the history of the work of the National Institute of Agricultural Engineering, which later became Silsoe Research Institute. The first two chapters describe the origins of the Institute in Oxford in 1924 and its progress to Wrest Park in 1947-8 via Askham Bryan in Yorkshire during the war years. The remaining 12 chapters describe the agricultural engineering work undertaken, together with highlights and personal anecdotes from former staff. The price is £10 per book plus postage and packing (per book) as follows: UK:£5, EU:£8, ROW:£10. Copies are still available directly from the IAgrE Secretariat or via the IAgrE Shop.
- NIAE Test Reports
Following the closure of SRI, two sets of NIAE test reports became available, one set is with Harper Adams University (HAU), the other with the Museum of English Rural Life (MERL).
- SRI Divisional Notes
IAgrE has a full set of Silsoe Research Institute Departmental and Divisional Notes spanning the years 1952 - 2003. These are stored at the offices in Cranfield and copies of up to 5 papers are available FOC to members. There will be a charge of £30 per paper for non-members.
