CPD Resources and Training Opportunities

The AEA are pleased to offer IAgrE members access to their training courses.  The 2023 Training Brochure may be found here.

The National Fluid Power Centre have been working to add online resources and a series of webinars is now available on their website.  

BAGMA (The British Agricultural & Garden Machinery Association) offer a variety of training courses accessible to IAgrE members - more details may be found on their Training Pages

The Society for the Environment have made their library of recorded webinars available.

The CIPD, the professional body for HR and people development have recently produced a publication Ethics at Work: An Employers' Guide, which we have been invited to share with you.  Alongside this guide is a series of helpful webinars, which are also available.

The AfroAgEng (the Pan African Society for Agricultural Engineering) have kindly shared some Conference material with us.

• The proceedings of their 2nd AfroAgEng Conference held in September 2019.  (Some of the content is in English and some in French but Google Translate is helpful!). 
• They have also shared the Proceeding of the 5th Inter-regional CIGR Conference - The Challenges of Water Mobilization & Soil Change Conservation in Better Adapting to Climate Change. (Again some translation may be required).

The National Cyber Security Centre have lots of useful resources for members including training eg Cyber Security for Small Businesses, an online course to teach you all you need to know to keep your organisation safe and their Cyber Aware Campaign, which has lots of information for home and business.  Cyber essentials is a government backed scheme to help guard against common threats and certification is often a necessity for the tendering process.  Find out all you need to know here.  

The IMechE have very kindly agreed to share their training with IAgrE Members. 

• There is a good resource of free content available on their Learning Management System. 
• The IMechE Online Learning Portal details the free and paid for resources on offer. 
• IAgrE Members can access these paid for resources at the special IMechE Member Rates by submitting the following IMechE Member ID: 25998774

The IMI, the Institute of the Motor Industry have recently made their vast training resource openly available.
The resource is free to members and the online courses are also available to non-members either free or for a small fee

The AHDB (Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board) continue to run online events, which you can access through their events page. 
Their archive of Cereals and Oilseeds Webinars may be of interest.  They also have a vast resource to assist in all areas of CPD, explore their website here.
