CPD Resources and Training Opportunities

The IAgrE appreciate that in these difficult times it has become more difficult to pursue your usual CPD activities.

We have therefore gathered this resource together to assist you in finding suitable online content.

IAgrE Branch Meetings:
South East Midlands Group - Marie-Carmen Alamar Gavidia from Cranfield University who gave a fascinating talk on Post Harvest Storage and the Reduction of Waste - you can watch the recording on the South East Midlands Branch webpage or directly via the IAgrE Video YouTube Channel

Lunchtime Lectures:
We launched this series on 7 July with an informative talk by Dr Andrew Landers CEng FIAgrE on the use of precision sensors to ensure precision spraying in Vineyards and Orchards - see the presentation here or explore the IAgrE Videos YouTube Channel

The CIPD, the professional body for HR and people development have recently produced a publication Ethics at Work: An Employers' Guide, which we have been invited to share with you.  Alongside this guide is a series of helpful webinars, which are also available.

The AfroAgEng (the Pan African Society for Agricultural Engineering) have kindly shared some Conference material with us.

The IMechE have very kindly agreed to share their training with IAgrE Members. 

  • There is a good resource of free content available on their Learning Management System
  • The IMechE Online Learning Portal details the free and paid for resources on offer. 
  • IAgrE Members can access these paid for resources at the special IMechE Member Rates by submitting the following IMechE Member ID: 23776552

The IMI, the Institute of the Motor Industry have recently made their vast training resource openly available.
The resource is free to members and the online courses are also available to non-members either free or for a small fee

Our Commercial Members the National Fluid Power Centre (NFPC) have made many of their very well regarded courses available online - to find the full details please visit their website

The AHDB (Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board) continue to run online events, which you can access through their events page
Their archive of Cereals and Oilseeds Webinars may be of interest.  They also have a vast resource to assist in all areas of CPD, explore their website here.
