Rhodri Williams EngTech TIAgrE

Rhodri is 21 years old and from West Wales, where his passion for the Agricultural industry began at a young age, and the engineering followed suit.  Experience with vintage and modern technology used on and off farm, and understanding the need for further development to meet coping demands, while keeping the end user satisfied with the product.

Studying a Masters in Agricultural Engineering at Harper Adams University.

Currently on his third year placement based in Germany working for CLAAS in their Advanced Developments department developing and testing future concepts for their combine range. Based in Germany until end of September 2022 when he will return to Harper Adams to finish the final 2 years of his course.

Professional Registration is a key part to the progression in any industry.  I believe having this process in place not only demonstrates the route to your professional career, but also gives young engineers like myself the guidance and experience needed to develop ourselves.  Along the way learning different aspects of the industry where knowledge was not so strong, and networking with more experienced people who have been in the same shoes. These connections would be difficult to achieve without the aid of IAgrE and professional registration.
