Tributes paid to LEAF chief executive Caroline Drummond

The farming industry has been paying tribute to Caroline Drummond, LEAF's chief executive, on the news that Caroline has passed away following a short battle with illness. 

We are deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of Caroline Drummond MBE this morning. Caroline was an inspirational women whose passion for farming and the environment shone through. Caroline touched so many people, her commitment to educating people that farming and the environment can work hand in hand was delivered with such energy and enthusiasm. Our deepest condolences go out to her family and I'm sure they will miss her dearly, as will the agricultural community. 

A representative from LEAF said, “It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of our beloved CEO Caroline Drummond MBE, who passed away yesterday. 

Caroline transformed LEAF from small beginnings 30 years ago to where we are today. There are no words to express how much she will be missed.”
