Posted: 13/11/0025

The Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA) has celebrated 150 years of support for the industry. This auspicious event was held in the main hall of the Science Museum in London where attendees dined amongst various scientific, technology and engineering exhibits, (including some from agriculture) showcasing the technological advances of the past few centuries. What a place to hold the celebration.

IAgrE members were well represented with AEA Director General and CEO, Ruth Bailey MIAgrE hosting the event. What a proud moment for Ruth.

Past IAgrE Presidents Paul Hemmingway FIAgrE and Peter Leech FIAgrE who have also worked with the AEA in various capacities joined the celebration as did past IAgrE CEO Alastair Taylor HonFIAgrE and Mike Whiting MIAgrE, both of whom have worked closely with the AEA on a number of initiatives.

Alastair Taylor commented.

“When I received an invitation to join the 150 year celebration of the AEA, I was highly honored. When I saw the venue I was blown away at the prospect of celebrating amongst those great exhibits in the Science Museum. It was a wonderful evening, not only catching up with old friends but also meeting some new people who were here to see that our industry is up there when it comes to innovation and engineering excellence. Here’s to the next 150 years of the AEA and good relations and partnerships with IAgrE”
