I have spent all my working life in Land-Based Engineering, starting as an apprentice and then 8 years as a service engineer for a Massey Ferguson distributor in Shropshire.
Following that 30+ years in Land-Based Engineering Education mainly at Reaseheath College Cheshire.
Latterly I have been with LANTRA as their Lead assessor for Land-Based Engineering Apprenticeship End Point Assessments (EPAs) & with City & Guilds as writer and scrutineer for the new ‘T’ level qualifications in Land-Based Technology.
Through these roles I get the opportunity to meet and support many young people starting their careers in our exciting sector.
I always reinforce the benefits of IAgrE registration and recognition with them and reinforce the standards, ethics and values needed to thrive in our ever-changing industry.
