Malcolm Carr-West

I am a Chartered Engineer and Honorary Fellow of the Institution.  I Chair the Institution's Membership Committee, and sit on the D&I committee.  I have been involved a number of degree accreditation events at both Tralee Technical Institute and Harper Adams University.  I am also involved in the approval of centres for technician training. 

Over several years I have been a volunteer with Engineering Council, in which role I have worked with a number of PEIs including The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers, The British Institute of Non Destructive Testing, The Nuclear Institute and currently the Institute of Applied Acoustics.  I also served a term on Engineering Council’s Quality Audit Committee. 

Prior to retirement I worked as a lecturer with a number of educational establishments where I gained experience in both course design and examination procedure.  My final post was with the Engineering Subject Centre of the Higher Education Academy at Loughborough University.
