From a very young age, Greig was involved in agricultural and plant machinery repair with the family business, where he took inspiration for his career. He joined the Institute as a student member, while studying at Harper Adams for a bachelor’s engineering degree in Off road vehicle design. He had been awarded a scholarship from JCB, where he gained experience in both manufacturing and design engineering. Greig now works for Caterpillar as a Senior Engineer, designing structures and configurating for the compact wheel loader product range.
As a member of the institution, Greig enjoys the many opportunities for continuous professional development and the networking that goes with it. As a member of council, he hopes to help promote others to reap the same benefits.
