The Western Branch is reinitiating its attended meetings with a double bill offering. A tour of the new £9 million investment to create an AgriTech Hub which includes a state-of-the-art robotic dairy. This will be followed by a presentation from Alastair Tulloch who has enjoyed a successful career with the German based machinery manufacturer CLAAS.
Alastair’s engineering passport is well stocked with stamps covering positions in the After Sales & Product Support division with CLAAS UK Ltd, achieving the role of Director in 2000. With 50 years membership of the IAgrE Alastair has been involved with some of the most important design and development projects which agriculture now relies on to maintain and improve efficiency. His practical experiences on the mixed family farm along with a post college gap year combining the prairies in Canada provides the basis for an interesting presentation.
The tour starts at 5pm - please meet in the visitors car park (see map). This will be followed by a light buffet and refreshments and then Alastair's talk at 7pm
