Our speaker, Wayne Davey from Perkins Engines will give a presentation on the history of Perkins Engines.
For over 85yrs Perkins Engines have been produced in Peterborough. In that time over 18 million engines have been produced worldwide, this presentation will cover a brief history of the company, its products, applications and how the Perkins Engine brand has progressed to the current day. The presentation will be given by Wayne Davey who is a current employee and an active member of the Perkins Heritage Group, a group formed in 2000 to preserve and promote the history of the Perkins Engines Company. The group of around 20 people maintain a collection of historic Perkins Engines significant to the company’s history, along with a photo/film and paper archive, some of which will be shown during the presentation.
