Freedm Ltd has developed a novel suspension system which is applicable for Agricultural vehicles.
The presentation will be an informal "table-top" physical demonstration of this innovative suspension using 1:10scale models. The system is being introduced to the ATV market and has created interest in other sectors too - but can be scaled for application to any sized vehicle including tractors and earth-movers.
The suspension gives a compliant ride to the driver whilst maintaining chassis ride height. It is a "zero warp stiffness" system which maintains the weight on all wheels even during extreme wheel articulation, resulting in improved traction, stability and control. The models will demonstrate chassis pitch and roll and how it can be reduced by around 50% for any given wheel articulation.
The key question is: "Is a vehicle which significantly reduces driver G forces, improves traction and improves body stability of interest to the Agricultural vehicle market?"
