Rhian Griffith has spent the majority of her career in mechanical design and safety engineering in the aerospace and Agri-Tech industry. I am now a Senior Manufacturing Research Engineer at AMRC Cymru, part of Sheffield University. Her work focuses on supporting small to medium manufacturing companies in Wales with innovation, decarbonisation and upskilling.
AMRC Cymru has a focus on Agri-Tech with several research projects looking at autonomous farming as well as a feasibility study looking into retrofitting farm machinery with an alternative powertrain. Her topic will introduce AMRC Cymru and give an overview of their Agri-Tech projects as well as describe the retrofitting research being carried out.
The talk will be followed by Q&A and discussion.
