The Pioneering Technology Special Interest Group and IAgrE members are invited to join the Midlands Mill Group on their autumn tour of three water mills.
This is the advance notice. Further details in due course.
We will start at Churchill Forge at 10.00 am the last water driven forge, with a guided tour.
Then onto Daniels Mill which has the largest water wheel in the country, 38 ft diameter, on a corn mill with a Guided tour.
Lunch break at their lovely cafe, 'The Witch on the Water' will be open for us serving drinks, soup, toasties and cakes.
Finally to Knowles Mill in the Wyre Forest for a guided tour. This is the last remaining mill in the Dowles Brook valley. (It will be open even if NT website says otherwise)
