This will be the first visit of the 2023/24 Winter Programme of the Northern Ireland branch.
The first visit will be to Balleywalter Farms Ltd, Kilmuckridge, Gorey, Wexford. This farm is running the latest Triolet Triomatic automatic feeder with 3 feeder units feeding 500 plus dairy cows and other cattle.
The second visit will be to Cooney Furlong Machinery in the same area which are the Case IH dealers for SE Ireland. They sell a wide range of equipment, including Amazone, Gowell, Krone, Vaderstad and Triolet. They also operate a large arable enterprise.
Itinerary:
Travel to Gorey in our own cars leaving on the morning of Thursday 5 October to arrive at Ballywalter Farm for 2pm. The drive is around 180 miles but mostly motorway so should be an easy run, subject to traffic around Dublin.
Overnight stay at the Amber Springs Hotel, Gorey. The cost is €85 for a single with breakfast.
Friday 6 October morning visit to Cooney Furlong dealership and possibly an arable enterprise (still to be confirmed), returning home in the afternoon.
