This session will explore practical applications of precision weather monitoring for disease forecasting and management decisions on-farm. Drawing on 15 years of agri-tech experience and real-world examples from commercial farming operations, the talk will cover:

•    Understanding the critical weather parameters that drive disease development
•    How automated weather station networks provide hyperlocal disease risk intelligence
•    Interpreting disease models and thresholds for fungicide timing decisions
•    Integration of weather data with agronomic knowledge to optimise crop protection strategies

SPEAKER BIO:
David Whattoff is Country Manager for METOS ANZ PTY LTD and founder of METOS UK, specialising in precision agriculture weather monitoring systems. A Member of the Institute of Agricultural Engineers with BASIS, FACTS and BETA certifications, David holds an MSc by Research from Cranfield University and brings 15 years of agri-tech experience to his work.
