TITLE:
"From Data to Decisions: Leveraging Weather Station Networks for Disease Risk Management in Arable Crops"
OUTLINE:
This session will explore practical applications of precision weather monitoring for disease forecasting and management decisions on-farm. Drawing on 15 years of agri-tech experience and real-world examples from commercial farming operations, the talk will cover:
• Understanding the critical weather parameters that drive disease development
• How automated weather station networks provide hyperlocal disease risk intelligence
• Interpreting disease models and thresholds for fungicide timing decisions
• Integration of weather data with agronomic knowledge to optimise crop protection strategies
