Lunchtime Lecture - Performance & Powertrain Digital Twin

The Prediction of Performance and Emissions for Synthetic Machine Handling Cycles Utilising a Powertrain Digital Twin

Discover how advanced simulation is shaping the future of off-highway machinery.

Join this lunchtime lecture to explore a collaborative project between Soluzioni Ingegneria, IPG Automotive, and Horiba to leverage AgriSI —an agricultural simulation platform— and the HORIBA Intelligent Lab to optimise powertrains and predict real-world performance.

Learn how a virtual engineering toolset created an Empirical Digital Twin (EDT) of a diesel engine, validated through physical testing, to simulate fuel consumption and emissions across synthetic agricultural cycles (ploughing, seeding, spraying, and more) at varying altitudes.

Presented at SAE’s Energy & Propulsion Conference 2024, this work highlights a combined testing-and-simulation approach to support OEMs with Stage V emissions compliance and future powertrain development.

The joining details are sent to members via email, if you haven't received the email and would like to attend please contact Sarah for the Zoom invitation.
