LEAF Education and Public Engagement Conference

LEAF Education and Public Engagement Conference

LEAF, supported by Rothamsted Research has undertaken extensive primary research to gain greater insight into how today’s young people view farming and to gauge their level of understanding and interest in where their food comes from.   The results of this ground-breaking piece of research will be shared at the conference and debated in workshops.  There will also be a programme of inspiring speakers sharing ideas and experiences of their work in this area with teenagers.

Aimed at farmers, teachers, educationalists, policy makers and researchers, this one-day conference will bring together leading experts from across the farming, food, education and communications sectors.  All with a particular focus on this often ‘hard to reach’ 12 to 18 year old age group.  We will explore new ideas, fresh thinking and novel innovations to inspire and mobilise future generations about farming and its role in addressing some of the most pressing issues of our time.

The event is free to attend.  Save the date in your calendar - invitations will be sent out shortly.
