The family run farm has been innovative in sourcing ways to reduce fixed farming and production.
During the visit you will learn about:
- The use of anaerobic digester plants to produce renewable energy
- Changes in cropping and cultivations, including strip tillage and low-cost lucerne
- Use of electric farm machinery supplied bu electricity from the anaerobic digester
At the end of the visit you will be able to sample the many award winning cheeses.
Note: Please wear suitable shoes/boots for walking around the farmyard.
Dogs on leads are allowed on the farm but not in the cheese factory or the meeting room for cheese tasting.
