This is a short update for any employer who currently has a Land-based apprentice at level 2 or 3 going through the current Land-based apprenticeship standards.
Mike Cullen, experienced lecturer and trainer within the land-based sector will share his experience of preparing apprentices for their End Point Assessment, whilst ensuring that they are career ready. This is an essential guide for employers to ensure their apprentices have the work experience to make the End Point Assessment straightforward.
In terms of the End Point Assessment (EPA) it is important to be aware of the requirement of the gateway, and the assessment itself from the start of the apprenticeship so that the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours can be reinforced and practised before the final assessments take place, this will also aid in the collecting of evidence for the portfolio also required for the gateway.
There are many ‘myths’ about the EPA, but this update will help to dispel these and provide information as to work tasks that will help prepare the apprentice for the EPA.
