Given the royal stamp of approval by King George VI in 1948, the National Institute of Agricultural Engineering (later the Silsoe Research Institute) rapidly developed an international reputation.
Join the Wrest Park Volunteer History team in the Mansion as they present their research on this fascinating period in Wrest Park's history. Drawing on a huge archive and hours of interviews, the exhibition highlights the work and significance of the Institute and the personalities who worked here.
We particularly welcome former members of the Silsoe Research Institute and invite them to share with us their memories and stories from this period, the legacy of which continues to this day.
