DAVID THAEMERT BS, MS, PhD, PE, CEng, FIAgrE, IRPE, FHEA
Dr David Thaemert is Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering Hydraulics and River Engineering at University of Hertfordshire. He has over 30 years’ experience of consultancy, higher education instruction and research in the US, UK and abroad, focusing on water resources analysis, hydraulic engineering design, and related construction efforts. His range of project components includes urban and watershed hydrology, open-channel and storm sewer hydraulics, floodplain analysis, river mechanics and fluvial geomorphology, evapotranspiration and irrigation.
His experience includes storm drainage master planning, alternatives analyses, and all stages of project design; hydrologic, hydraulic and water allocation modelling; water quality BMP selection; fluvial geomorphologic data collection; crop water use and irrigation feasibility studies; and water rights administration.
David has also been active within the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, US Committee on Irrigation and Drainage, Environmental Water Resources Institute, and Engineers Without Borders-USA as venues for maintaining professional relevancy.
