David Roe

David is experienced in consultancy, contracting, management, teaching and leadership in a number of sectors in and around land based industries. Once described as an entrepreneurial engineer he has served a number of rising and established markets including renewable energy, garden centre and amenity irrigation, legionella risk management, designer gardens, agricultural crop stores, building renovation, machinery sales and machinery design and repair. 

He currently maintains a 25ha family farm, a portfolio of 20 properties and a home in Germany.

David holds certificates from the institution in recognition of long membership and championing environmental issues and renewable energy during his time in the role of chair to the East Midlands Branch. 

As a past member of the Council he benefited from the perspective brought by other members whilst being able to offer policy suggestions that are now part of the fabric of the institution. He is looking for opportunities to serve again as a Council member to the institution that has provided a stable home to his career.
