Clare Butler Ellis

Dr. Clare Butler Ellis has a PhD in physics, is a Fellow of the Institution of Agricultural Engineering, a Chartered Physicist and a Chartered Environmentalist. She is Research Manager, and leads the team, at Silsoe Spray Applications Unit Ltd. She has worked in agricultural engineering research since 1986 and has been involved with R&D into application techniques for pesticides since 1994. 

Clare joined the Institution in 2005 and has served terms on Council and Executive as both Member and Fellow.  She has a particular interest in improving diversity and inclusion firstly within the Institution, and then broadly across the agricultural engineering industry.
