IAgrE Lunchtime Lecture - Prof Simon Pearson - Automated Soft Fruit Picking

IAgrE are delighted that Professor Simon Pearson has agreed to give a Lunchtime Lecture on the work that Lincoln University have been doing with the NFU on the automation of soft fruit picking.  This is a very difficult area to automate and it will be interesting to hear of the challenges and pitfalls as well as the progress that is being made in this field.

Professor Pearson is the founding  Director of LIAT, the Lincoln Institute of AgriFood Technology, whose key research themes include agricultural robotics, digital technology to underpin the food supply chain, greenhouse engineering, sustainable farming systems, agri-food manufacturing and productivity.

Please contact Sarah for the details of the Zoom meeting and to book your place as numbers are limited - the recording of the lecture will be available to members if you are unable to attend.
