Next Steps for Farming productivity - innovation, investment and knowledge transfer

This seminar will be a chance to assess the opportunities and challenges facing the future of farm productivity in the UK.

Delegates at this conference will consider policy priorities for supporting an innovative and competitive farming sector - with discussion on funding, skills, infrastructure and industry partnerships.

It follows the recent announcement by Defra and the Rural Payments Agency of £200 million of funding for landowners to improve farm productivity, including investment into rural broadband, new equipment and land management. It also comes at a time of wider discussion around what the shape and funding structure of the UK’s agriculture sector will look like as we leave the EU, following the Secretary of State’s commitment to farming subsidies having a greater focus on environmental stewardship post-Brexit.
